How frequent are sessions and how long will therapy last?

Most commonly, people come to therapy once a week for a 50-minute session, although this can vary depending on the problem and its severity. The duration of therapy (number of sessions) is difficult to predict as it depends on a number of factors including severity of the problem and response to treatment. Therapy lasts as long as it needs to in order to eliminate or minimize the problem; this can be anywhere from a few sessions to working with a therapist for several years. At Perspective we work collaboratively with our clients in discussing the direction of treatment as well as conducting on-going assessment to measure effectiveness and movement.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy is $150 for 45 minutes and $175 for 60 minute sessions. We do offer a reduced rate for those in financial need.

Will my health insurance pay for treatment?

Yes, frequently your health insurance will cover a significant portion of the cost of therapy. However, every insurance plan is different and we encourage you to investigate your specific plan and benefits so you will know the exact cost to use. To do this you would contact your insurance plan by calling the phone number listed on the back of your insurance card and then ask for "behavioral health benefits". Specifically you will want to know if you have a deductible to meet and what your copay is. Perspectives Therapy Services will bill most major insurance companies including Aetna, Cofinity, Physicians Health Plan, McLaren Health Advantage, McLaren Health Plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield , Blue Care Network, Tricare, United Healthcare, Humana, Value Options, HealthPlus, Medicare, Molina, Meridian, Midwest.
