“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” Lao Tzu. The first step is often the hardest and that first step may be therapy. I believe in fostering a strong therapeutic relationship to encourage, guide, and support you along each step of the way. Each step builds upon the last to provide space for healing, growth, and will help you to function at your maximum potential leading to increased happiness and contentment for a more fulfilling life.
I have over 17 + years of experience working with ages 6 and up in a variety of treatment settings including inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient therapy. I utilize a person centered, trauma informed, and strengths-based approach to empower you within a safe, confidential, empathetic and compassionate environment. I draw from a variety of approaches depending upon individual and/or family needs. I utilize both traditional and creative approaches to therapy. Traditional methods include talk therapy, solution focused, CBT strategies, and DBT strategies. Creative approaches include art, games, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and trauma informed yoga. That first step can be a big one but I know you can do it. I will be here to provide you support throughout your journey. Together we will create a therapeutic experience personalized for you and your goals.
