Philosophy
I believe that a trusting, secure client-therapist relationship is a crucial aspect of building a foundation for change. When clients feel truly seen, heard and safe to express their authentic self, they can begin to make conscious choices about exploring new ways of experiencing themselves and the world. I seek to remain present, non-judgmental and actively engaged during my sessions. I find that we all can easily become emotionally stuck and trapped in habits of thinking and behaving that limit our quality of life and opportunities. The therapy space can help cultivate the gift of insight, new perspectives and the confidence to begin make changes. I believe that living in a manner that reflects one’s values is essential to quality of life.
Personal Statement
For me, being a therapist is an honor and a privilege. For over two decades I have worked diligently to earn my clients’ trust as well as provide guidance, support and opportunities for building the skills that are aligned to their unique life goals and values. My own history of life challenges has allowed me to put into practice the very same strategies I teach my clients. Through personal trials and tribulations, as well as through my career as a therapist, I have accumulated a great deal of experience over the years. At the same time, I consider myself a lifelong learner and encourage my clients to seek out their own paths of growth and personal expansion. I am a passionate learner, completely dedicated to deepening/expanding my clinical skills and always curious about new ideas and approaches. My goal is to provide a healing space, build collaboration, teach/model essential skills as well as offer new perspectives. Essentially, I help my clients answer the question “what makes life worth living?” and then provide the guidance needed for them to make the changes that are necessary to get there.

About me
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Being in nature always helps to clear my head and adjust my perspective. Time outdoors allows me to slow down, be in the present moment and let go of the worries that are often not related to the priorities in my life. I also appreciate the reminder of the deep interconnectivity of life.
What was your dream job in elementary school?
I wanted to be a veterinary and even worked at a vet clinic for several years in high school and college. I ultimately determined that it would be too difficult for me to conduct any interventions that might cause an animal any pain/suffering, especially as they would not understand why I was doing it to them. I have of course maintained a very strong love of all animals all through my life!
Describe your ideal vacation. Has it happened yet?
I feel very drawn to the Mediterranean, I find the azure blue water mesmerizing and especially fell in love with the landscape when watching the “Mama Mia” movies with my daughter. For some reason just feel very happy when I think about being there. Maybe someday!
