Philosophy

There are times we all could use someone to walk beside us and hold a light on our journey towards becoming our best self. When the road gets rough, I hope that I can be there to help remind you of your strengths. My goal is to provide therapy that is unique and tailored to your individual needs. I believe a trustworthy, judgment-free, and compassionate relationship between client and therapist is vital to helping you reach your goals. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities to help you cope with life’s challenges and grow into a more confident version of yourself. The tenets of mindfulness help to inspire my approach: presence, non-judgment, patience, acceptance, letting go, and gratitude.

Personal Statement

My clinical experience has taught me that people are resilient. Our mind and body have a natural desire to heal and grow. But being human can get messy. Approaching life’s challenges alone can feel overwhelming. Perhaps you’re not quite sure where to start. Maybe you’d like someone to hold a light as you navigate the darker parts of life, and celebrate with you as you reach your goals. It has been an honor for me to work with a diverse range of individuals as they seek healing from trauma, navigate changes, and transitions, and learn healthier ways to cope with stress. Choosing a therapist to walk with you on your healing journey is a personal and courageous decision. I look forward to helping you realize that change, growth, and confidence are possible!

About me

What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
I love to be surrounded by my family, friends, and my 2 dogs. Anywhere I am with them is my happy place.

What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Listening to music and playing with my doggies, who have taught me the value and skill of enjoying the moment.

What was your dream job in elementary school?
Despite being incredibly shy, I was sure that I was going to be a pop star!

What is your favorite movie of all time?
Babe – “That’ll do pig, that’ll do.”

Describe your ideal vacation. Has it happened yet?
Anywhere that I can submerge myself in a culture that’s new to me: new food, new places, new activities. Traveling through Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan was a dream come true. In the future, I’d love to experience Thailand and Greece.

What is the most delicious meal you can imagine?
Fresh seafood served by the water! And when that’s not possible, anything my husband cooks up in the kitchen is gourmet to me.
