Personal Statement
Shaylin McCann is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Michigan who started practicing in 2020. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Ferris State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Michigan. Shaylin believes that therapy needs to be client led, with the therapist acting as a guide to assist in healing. She partners with her clients to help them to reach their own goals, using evidence-based practices including solution-focused therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, prolonged-exposure therapy, and more. In her spare time, Shaylin enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, yoga, meditating, reading, gaming, creating ceramics and letting her creative side shine.
